The challenge
In order to promote the World Padel Tour in Brussels, Sportero wanted a teaser video that ‘wowed’ the fans. It would be shown on social, their web page and during the event itself.
“Do what you do best”, they said. So we set out to create 25 seconds of raw power.
The solution
With full creative control, all we had to worry about was our budget. Since we didn’t have to spend time reworking feedback, we decided to spend that extra budget on perfecting our visual style and transitions. This led to us going for mixed media. We combined live footage with 2D, cutout, and typo animation.
The client already had quite a bit of cool live footage. The thing is, everything was in slow motion and we wanted fast-paced action. So we sped everything back up and created a rough edit. This served as a basis to determine the flow of our video.
Then we let loose 4 of our visual artists. They each got a couple of seconds in which they got to do their thing. Then we pieced everything back together. The result was mind blowing!
The result
The video was seen by about 68.000 fans. According to a short survey, we succeeded in bringing the dynamics and tension of the game into our video.
Check out how we made this video:
Toerisme Vlaanderen wanted to commemorate World War I by portraying the landscape as the last witness.
For Gilead, we created a compelling mini-series to generate awareness about HIV and AIDS.
How would our dogs act at the office? That's what this animated video is all about!
